Fuel Supplier Cuts Ties with U.S. Navy Following Trump-Zelensky Fallout

A Norwegian fuel company, Haltbakk Bunkers, has announced that it will no longer supply fuel to U.S. Navy ships, including the USS Delaware. The company made this decision in response to tensions between U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Gunnar Gran, the owner of Haltbakk Bunkers, criticized President Trump for his recent conduct during a meeting with President Zelensky, calling it “disrespectful.” As a result, the company has decided to stop providing fuel to U.S. warships until Trump leaves office. Gran also urged other European fuel suppliers to take similar action.

This decision adds to the growing strain between the U.S. and some European businesses, which could impact American military operations in the region.

The tension between the U.S. and Ukraine stems from a recent meeting at the White House. During this meeting, President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance reportedly accused Zelensky of being disrespectful when discussing peace talks with Russia. The discussion ended without an agreement, including a proposed deal for U.S. investment in Ukraine’s mineral resources.

In response, French President Emmanuel Macron has called for calm and urged all parties to maintain diplomatic discussions to resolve the crisis.
